Salzburger Open-Air Museum - Salzburg´s largest museum: The Salzburg Open Air Museum in Großgmain features 100 restored original buildings from agriculture, crafts, rural crafts and industry. Take your time and embark on a journey through six centuries to discover Salzburg´s rural past. Explore old farmhouses, marvel at the simple and varied life of yesteryear and enjoy the hospitality of the coy museum inn. Take the historic museum railway for a wonderful ride through the natural landscape of the 50-hecatre museum grounds.
Biohofkäserei Fürstenhof in Kuchl: Surrounded by a unique natural backdrop of mountains, green madows and fresh Alpine air, lies the Fürstenhof. A place that once served as a stopover, accommodation and stable for the archbishops of Salzburg. Today, our cows graze on the lush meadows around the farm. They give the highest quality milk for our organic raw milk cheese. From the cow to the cheese, you get an insight into organic farming and the show cheese dairy.
Bienenhof Attersee: The populare guided tour "Alles Bienenhof" starts with a varied lecture about the life of the honey bee and the work of the beekepper. Afterwards, we invite you to a honey tasting - a culinary journey into the world of the most diverse types of honey. Enjoy the soothing scent of beeswax in our farm shop. Depending on the weather, you can walk with us along the educational trail and take a look inside the showbee hive. About 30 young bees live on our organically managed site.
Erlachmühle: In the Erlachmühle Mondsee, Müllermeister personally leads you through the interesting foam mill. The Erlachmühle, currently the only active mill in the whole of Mondseeland, still grinds high-quality grain into flour. Here you will learn the individual processes that are necessary to produce fresh wood-fired bread
