From here the tour leads you along the Zlambach and the Leislingbach creek via Lupitsch to Bad Aussee. Train ride from Bad Aussee to Bad Ischl.

Day 4: From Bad Aussee via Bad Goisern to Bad Ischl (38 km, 1100 hm)

You start today's tour in Bad Aussee in the direction of Altaussee. About 6 kilometers after Altaussee or shortly after the Blaa Alm, the original route is currently closed due to rock work in the Rettenbachtal. However, there are several alternatives. The most beautiful one branches off in Altaussee up to the salt mine and over the Moosberg and Waldgraben to the Halleralm. Now head towards the Hütteneckalm and after about one and a half kilometers you are back on the original route. A detour to the Raschberghütte (+ 2.5 km) or to the Hütteneckalm (+ 1.5 km) is worthwhile simply because of the fantastic view of Lake Hallstatt and the Dachstein. But the Rathlucken hut just before the Ewige Wand and the Hoisnrad Alm further along the route also offer great views and tempt you to stop for a bite to eat. Before you reach the end of the stage, the imperial town of Bad Ischl, you pass numerous tunnel portals of the Ischl salt mine just before the village of Perneck.

Your luggage will be transported to the Salzkammergut Touristik office until 14:00

Individual departure or additional nights

General information:

The carrying out of the tour is dependent on weather conditions!

The tours are demanding and therefore physical fitness and endurance are necessary.

To enjoy this trip also a proper cycle equipment like sneakers, rucksack, sun- and rain protection, comfortable sports cloths, jacket, jumper, gloves, helmet, first aid kit and enough beverages and food is mandatory. We strongly recommend taking an emergency repair kit with replacement hose and pump with you.

Battery management:

Fully charge your battery every day.

We recommend a second battery. Pay attention to your driving if you do not have a second battery – you can probably charge it occasionally.

A low gear with high pedal frequency increases your range.

An ascent with more than 14km/h in the turbo mode reduces the range significantly. It is better to use a low gear in the E-MTB or sport mode with a speed lower than 10km/h.
