Entertainment that gets under your skin! From 5 to 8. February 2026, the Kongress- & TheaterHaus Bad Ischl will reopen its doors for the International Winter Varieté Bad Ischl.

With this special cultural highlight the Tourist Board Bad Ischl, the city of Bad Ischl and the Salzburg event agency ARS MEDIA on the 4 successful winter seasons of the Join Winter Varieté Bad Ischl.

The Winter Varieté Bad Ischl offers a fascinating gala full of spectacular and enchanting imagery with the new anniversary show "Variete dreams - an artisitc journey around the world." The audience expects a wonderful world full of surprises - a kaleidoscope of modern varieté arts with the leaders of the international variete world.

The 2 x 50 minute program fascinates with fantastic juggling, unique balancing art, spectacular aerial acrobatics, fascinating artistry and ravishing comedy at the highest level. A show with top acts from the international variety world combined with a multimedia staging.

Free tickets:
Generally for the bus driver - no matter how big the group is (will always be a marginal place so the driver can leave the hall early).
An additional free ticket for the guide can be issued as required or upon request.

Accessibility:
At each performance at the Convention & Visitors Bureau. Theater, wheelchair seats are available (free).

Trip to Lake Traunsee to Gmunden

City guided tour in Gmunden incl. Visit of castle place - duration approx. 2 hours.

Gmunden, at the northern end of Lake Traun, is one of the most beautiful places in Austria: Stylish streets and squares with old town houses and villas, a dreamy lake esplanade, pretty shops and the magnificent location make the spa town a real treasure trove. Enjoy the impressions and learn about Gmunden on this guided tour.

Picturesquely situated on a tiny island in Lake Traun, Schloss Orth owes much of its fame to a German-Austrian television series: for eight years, from 1996 to 2004, people lived, loved and married in the "Schlosshotel Orth." To this day, the series is a strong audience magnet and attracts many visitors to SeeSchloss Orth every year. The Seeschloss Ort is not only one of the oldest buildings in the Salzkammergut, it also has exciting stories to tell: for example, the legend of the giant Erla, who is said to have built the castle out of love for Traunsee. And from the first historically mentioned owner, the Knight Hartneid von Ort, to the cruel Count Herbestorff, to the Habsburg Archduke Johann Nepomuk Salvator, many dazzling personalities resided here.

Our tip: Visit Traunkirchen, about 10 km south of Gmunden. A walk around Johannesberg and the monastery offers beautiful views of Lake Traunsee and the surrounding mountains.

Day 3
Drive to Bad Ischl

Horse-drawn carriage ride in Bad Ischl - duration approx. 30 min.
Take the Fiaker to Bad Ischl´s most beautiful squares and monuments. Enjoy Bad Ischl from a nostalgic angle and experience a carriage ride through the imperial city.

Expect to taste two Austrian wines each 1/8l incl. Snacking

3 course. Dinner in the restaurant of the Congress & TheaterHaus Bad Ischl before the performance.

Day 4
Today you drive to Salzburger Land, to Henndorf

Entrance and guided tour on Gut Aiderbichl - tour duration approx. 45 min
Since the year 2000 there has been the nationally known "Gut Aiderbichel". The farm is a special kind of grace farm which is designed to encourage rethinking by using rescued animals. Its builder, Michael Aufhauser, financed the construction with private funds. The animals are exclusively poor, rescued animals, who now enjoy the best care on 100 hectares of pastureland and in spacious stables.

In the afternoon possibility to visit the city of Salzburg.
