On the Salzkammergut Baumwipfelpfad you experience unique perspectives high above the forest floor with breathtaking panoramic views of Lake Traunsee and Gmunden. Passing numerous information and adventure stations, the Baumwipfeltrail winds its way through the mixed mountain forest on the Grünberg. The highlight of the trail is the 39-metre high observation tower, which offers breathtaking views of Lake Traun, the Salzkammergut and the Dachstein from the top platform of the tower.
Picturesquely situated on a tiny island in Lake Traun, Schloss Orth owes much of its fame to a German-Austrian television series: for eight years, from 1996 to 2004, people lived, loved and married in the "Schlosshotel Orth". To this day, the series is a strong audience magnet and attracts many visitors to SeeSchloss Orth every year.
Sunset cruise on Lake Traunsee: Enjoy a boat trip on Lake Traun, the 2nd largest lake in Upper Austria. From Gmunden it goes in the direction of Altmünster, Traunkirchen to Ebensee and then back again, always with wonderful views of the surrounding landscape and the imposing mountains. In the evening, enjoy a Brettljause in a guest house in the Gmunden area
