Bad Ischl: 468m above sea level, 14 100 inhabitants, imperial villa, town museum, Lehár Villa, a guided tour of the town 3 times a week, brine bath at the Salzkammergut Therme, Dachstein West and Postalm ski areas, horse-drawn sleigh rides, curling, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, Hallstatt-Dachstein World Heritage region 22km, Salzburg 55km.

Information about the accommodation

History: The Rosenvilla was built in 1840 by Ferdinand Lidl von Lidlsheim, the son of an old salt traders’ dynasty, the "Musikerschlössl" is located directly in the Kurpark. It primarily housed known musicians and composers like Giacomo Meyerbeer (1847) and the violin virtuoso Joseph Joachim. In the years 1909 – 1911 Franz Lehár spent his summer there and created the operetta "Gypsy Love," "Count of Luxembourg", "Eve" and "A Princely child".
Over the following years Emmerich Kalman rented the Rosenstöckl during the summer. The “Biedermeier” portico Villa has been completely renovated but is still equipped with original furniture.
The cozy 1700m² garden features a fountain and a pavilion.

Facilities / layout: max. 4 guests: The house is equipped with particularly valuable and antique furniture and decorative objects. Therefore, only children age 10 and up are allowed in the house.
Size: approx. 90m², Parking for passenger cars and carport.

Ground floor: Antechamber with gallery of ancestral portraits and original oil paintings.
Storage room with toilet and washing machine.
“Biedermeier” living room with a piano and tiled stove.
Modern kitchen (oven, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, electric kettle, refrigerator with freezing compartment) and hunting style dinette and tiled stove.
“Biedermeier” bedroom with a double bed, dresser, cabinet; Shower and WC accessible from the bedroom.

1st floor: bedroom in the Biedermeier style, TV, shower / WC.
The whole object is heated with floor heating and offers cable TV, gas heating system and a roofed and furnished terrace.
