  • walking and cycling tours are self-guided with detailed maps and route descriptions being provided. All other activities are carried out in company of a professional instructor.
  • swimming skills are a prerequisite for all activities on water
  • all activities are suitable for children of the age of 8 or older
  • special equipment is provided for all activities. Basic outdoor equipment like good walking shoes, rucksack, rain and sun protection, functional clothing and also a warm jacket or pullover (especially important for the caves) are necessary to enjoy your trip.

The course of your tour

Day 1: Individual arrival in Bad Goisern.

You will receive your travel documents at your accommodation.
Possibility to walk the Karl-Pilz-round trail in Bad Goisern – about 12 km and 3,5 hours.
Possibility to go swimming at Lake Hallstättersee or at the Parkbad Bad Goisern
You can visit the Handwerks-Haus (local craftsmen house) or Heimat- und Landlermuseum (museum of local history) in Bad Goisern
Overnight stay in Bad Goisern.

Day 2: Introductory cycling tour: Lake Hallstättersee with a visit of the Saltmines Hallstatt

~ 30 km, difference in altitude ascent 357 m / descent 357 m
You cycle along the eastern shore of the Lake to Obertraun. The cycling trail continues to Hallstatt, charming and historic lake-side village and UNESCO World Heritage site. Ascent with the cable car up to mount Salzberg and enjoy your guided tour at the Saltmines. Decent with the cable car (A tour of the salt mine in Hallstatt lasts about 90 minutes. You can assume that your visit will take at least 2 ½ hours in total (incl. rides up and down the mountain on the Salzbergbahn funicular and a short hike across the Hallstatt high valley to the entrance building outside Hallstatt salt mine). Cycle back to Bad Goisern on the same way.

Day 3: Canoeing on Lake Hallstättersee (approx. 4h)

The lakes of the Salzkammergut, embedded in the dramatic Alpine landscape, are predestined for all sorts of water sports activities. After a short introduction you head out on the calm lake and explore the most beautiful parts of the lake and its shore.

Day 4: Hiking tour to Obertraun – Krippenstein guided tour through ice Cave and visit of the 5fingers platform

~ 15 km, 3 hrs, difference in altitude ascent 128 m / descent 95 m
From St. Agatha to the Lake Hallstaettersee and along the eastern shore - with magnificent views of Hallstatt and the Dachstein Glacier - to Obertraun – valley station of the Krippenstein cable car. The Dachstein Krippenstein offers magnificent views into the Salzkammergut, guided tours through the ice and mammoth cave and a lot of hiking possibilities. You have included the visit of the “5fingers” viewing platform, the Welterbespirale viewing platform, the statue of the Dachstein Hai, the cable car for stretch I+II and a guided tour through the ice caves.
Bus ride back to Bad Goisern.

"A tree for your booking" – Cooperation project with Austrian Federal Forests

For every bike or hiking tour in the region booked with us, a tree is planted in the Weißenbach valley – near Bad Ischl. With this campaign we want to generate awareness for climate-friendly travel and take responsibility for a world worth living in.

The UNESCO World Heritage List currently lists 1,154 natural and cultural sites from 167 countries worldwide. The excellent cultural and natural monuments have an extraordinary universal value that must be preserved in the long term. Austria is represented with 10 World Heritage Sites.
