The Innviertel is a region with its own character. This can be seen in the fact that even the Upper Austrian specialty, the gnödel, takes on a form of its own. Innviertel gnödel may be smaller than their brothers in the rest of Upper Austria. But their abundance is incomparably hearty. If served on a boat trip on the Inn, the Innviertel delight is complete. The setting for this palate delight is the Baroque town of Schärding. There´s plenty to be discovered in narrow alleyways and among colourful facades. And at the end of the day, how could it be otherwise, head to a brewery - the tasting of beer specialties included.
