Information about the region
Hallstatt (lake Hallstatt): 511m above sea level, 750 inhabitants. Winter walking, horse-sleigh rides, sightseeing. Close by car or by skibus: Freeride Arena Dachstein-Krippenstein and ski resort Dachstein-West, cross-country ski runs, ski touring, signposted snow shoe trails, tobogganing. Highlight: 8th December: Christkindl market in Hallstatt.
Information about the accomodation
Location: The hotel is located in the historic center of the UNESCO world heritage site Hallstatt in the Salzkammergut, directly nearby lake Hallstätter See. Train station Hallstatt can be reached by ferry (shipping pier approx. 70m / approx. 10min trip). Skibus stop in 750m. Buses run to ski area Dachstein-Krippenstein (approx. 7km) or Dachstein-West (approx. 17km)
Facilities: The hotel consists out of 3 renovated, historic and protected buildings.
House Kainz (main building): directly at the lake and ferry station, in the center of town. Reception, restaurant (breakfast buffet), bar, sauna and elevator.
House Stocker: oldest building amongst those three, built more then 500 years ago. Ideal for bigger families, built along the hill with a picturesque vie over Hallstatt and the lake, 3 walking minutes from main building (house Kainz). No elevator.
House Seethaler: approx. 5 walking minutes from main house, built along the hill, great view on the lake. Elevator.
Luggage and ski storage: is possible.
Parking: in the village is very limited, therefore the hotel offers a special tariff of approx. € 18,00 for 24 hours at the public parking lot for its guests (increase in price is possible). Free shuttle service from the parking lot (P1) to the hotel (until 8pm – just for check in / check out and with valid parking ticket).
Wellness: Heritage.SPA in Haus Kainz: Gable sauna, infrared cabin and relaxation room.
Entertainment and leisure time: Ski rental Sport Janu (approx. 50m from the hotel), entertainment program and guided tours as posted in the tourism office.
Rooms: all rooms are non-smoking rooms and equipped with bath / shower, WC, safe, extended minibar, coffee pads, tea, telephone, satellite TV, flat screen, hairdryer, bath robe (available on request at reception) and WiFi.
Standard double room: approx. 18-22m², max. occupancy: 2 adults. In all 3 buildings, market view.
Deluxe double room: approx. 20 – 25m², max. occupancy: 3 adults. Partly with wooden trusses, luxuriously furnished. In house Kainz and Seethaler, partly with balcony.
Superior double room: approx. 23-30m², max. occupancy: 3 adults. In house Kainz and Seethaler with lake view and balcony or terrace.
Juniorsuite: approx. 35-55m², max. occupancy: 4 adults. Individually furnished, bedromm with double bed and living room with sleeping couch. In all houses, partly with lake view or terrace.
