Here you have 2 possibilities to discover the high plateau

Variant 1 (easy) Heilbronnerkreuz

approx.: 7,3 km, 2,5 - 3 hours., altitude difference á/â 400 m

From the top station of the Krippenstein cable car you hike the signposted path to the H Heilbronnerkreuz memorial. You are accompanied by the spectacular view on the Dachstein high plateau. At the end of the tour you can either ride up with the third section of the cable car to get back to the starting point or take an extra walk along the skiing slope.

Variant 2 (medium) Wiesberghaus

approx.: 10,9 km, 4 hours., altitude difference á/â 700 m

After 3 cable car rides you start your tour towards the Gjaidalm, which would be a perfect place for a snack. You walk on to the karst plateau. The path follows the shallow up and down of the landscape before you arrive at the Wiesberghaus where you can enjoy the sun terrace. Finally the path leads you back to the cable car station before you can review the day at the valley.

Depending on your stamina you can hike on, passing the Kalmooskirche cave and onto the Kalmberg mountain before you head back to Gosau and take the bus to Bad Goisern. (If you skip the Kalmberg the total length of the tour shortens about 2,5km and about 200 m in altitude difference)

Day 4: Relax day at the Narzissenbad Bad Aussee

You start your day with a transfer to Bad Aussee. While you enter the Narzissenbad Aussee SPA we bring your luggage to the hotel. Day 5: Loseralm

approx.: 13,6 km, 4,5 - 5 hours., altitude difference á/â 763 m
