In harmony with nature, gliding instead of rushing – time to take a look around, to have a chat and to be active: that is what makes cross-country skiing such a pleasant experience. Plenty of time to rest in the traditional inns and huts beside the tracks, because fun should always be the focal point of your holiday plans. Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival by car or by train at Bad Ischl. Visit our service center to receive more information on the cross-country runs, the region and enjoy a welcome schnapps.

Overnight stay in Bad Ischl.

Day 2: Introduction to the region of Bad Ischl – visit the European Cup run at the Rettenbachalm (10km) in Bad Ischl. Take the free cross-country taxi, leaving from the Salzkammergut Touristik service center. Then relax at the Salzkammergut Thermal Spa at the Eurothermen Resort in Bad Ischl.

Day 3: Bad Goisern „Panorama Nova“ run:Transfer from Bad Ischl to Bad Goisern incl. luggage (for train travelers) or with your own car    (you have to take your own luggage with you)

Total of 27km of cross-country runs – 2 sections of this trail are easy, 2 sections are medium and 5km are challenging – the „World Cup Cross-Country Run“ is perfect for the experienced skiers! Take the taxi or your own car back to town.

Day 4: Free ski bus to cross-country ski runs in Gosau.

There are cross-country runs in different levels of difficulty throughout the whole Gosau valley. Beginners and advanced cross-county skiers will all find a suitable trail. Enjoy the sunny runs in the beautiful winter landscape off the ski slopes.

Day 5: Transfer from Bad Goisern to Bad Aussee incl. luggage (for train travelers) or with your own car (you have to take your own luggage with you)

You can organize the day according to your own interests: Visit one of the old and traditional craftsmanship companies in the Ausseerland, e.g. the hand printing shop or the “Lebzelter” or relax in the brine bath of the VitalBad Aussee.

Day 6: Today take the public bus (included for train travelers) or your car to Bad Mitterndorf (Pichl-Kainisch). In this vast, fog-free valley there are a total of 120km of runs for the cross-country skiing connoisseur. Our tip: the Ödensee ski run. After enjoying the day in Bad Mitterndorf return to Bad Aussee (bus ticket included for train travelers)

Overnight stay in Bad Aussee.

Day 7: Today take the (free of charge) ski bus from the Postamt Bad Aussee to the stop “Loser Skiarena”. Here you enter the cross-country ski runs and continue on to the Blaa Alm. After a small coffee break you return to Bad Aussee – approximately 15km cross-country trail.

Overnight stay in Bad Aussee.
