The hiking tour captivates with variety – lush, green mountain pastures with pink carpets of blooming alpine roses contrast the rugged peaks of the Gosaukamm. This tour is something for keen hikers with average walking times of 5 – 8 hours per day.

The carrying out of the tour is dependent on weather conditions!

General information:

The tour mainly covers alpine terrain. You will need appropriate mountain equipment and basic stamina. Necessary mountain equipment: ankle-high boots, functional clothes, rucksack, food and water, rain and sun protection, first-aid kit, mobile phone, possibly hiking sticks,...

2 x overnight stays in Gosau ***inn/hotel with breakfast buffet and 3 course dinner
1 x overnight stay the Hofpuergl lodge (communal bunks) with hearty mountain breakfast and dinner
1 x welcome video with explanations and information that you need for the tour

Routing:

1^st Day: Individual arrival in Gosau
Handing over of the travel documents at your accommodation.

Overnight stay in Gosau.

2^nd Day: Lake Gosausee – Steiglpass – Hofpuergl lodge
~9 km, 6-7 h, altitude difference á1321 m / â549 m

Ascent early in the morning from the Vorderer Gosausee lake over the Scharwand hut and Steiglpass to the Hofpuergl lodge.

Overnight stay at the Hofpuergl lodge

3^rd Day: Hofpuergl lodge – Zwieselalm – Lake Gosausee
~13 km, 5-6 h, altitude difference á 673 m / â1446 m

After a nice breakfast (early risers can enjoy the sunrise above the Dachstein glacier) the tour continues further towards the Stuhlalm and to the Gablonzerhuette (stop for a bite to eat) and from there descent to the Vorderer Gosausee lake.

Overnight stay in Gosau.

4^th Day: Individual departure or additional nights can be booked.
