1st day: Individual arrival in Bad Ischl.
Handover of the detailed travel documents at your Hotel.
Overnight stay in Bad Ischl
2nd day: Bad Ischl – Lake Attersee ~ 24 km, 7-8 hrs, difference in altitude á 584 m / â 584 m
Start your hiking tour directly in Bad Ischl – walk to Kalvarienbergkirche church and on the “Elisabeth Forest Trail” to Rußbach - Schwarzensee - Eisenau - Burgau at Lake Attersee - walk to your accommodation along the lake shore to Weissenbach.

3rd day: Lake Attersee – Lake Wolfgangsee
~ 22,5 km, 8-9 hrs, difference in altitudeá930 m / â870 m
Take the hiking bus to the access point Burggrabenklamm. A spectacular trail leads through the narrow gorge to the flanks of Mount Schafberg. You continue between Attersee and Mondsee – on the Hiking path 17A. You will pass the Scharfling pass, descent to St. Gilgen and walk along the lake towards Abersee.
It is possible to take the bus from St. Gilgen to Abersee.

4th day: Lake Wolfgangsee ~ 7,5 km, 2-3 hrs, difference in altitude á 164 m / â 141 m
Zinkenbach / Stockach – boat trip to St. Wolfgang – possibility to take the famous cogwheel railway up to Mount Schafberg (1760 m) – time for a stroll through St. Wolfgang – on to Berau. Bürglpromenade to Strobl centre – Weißenbach.

5th day: Baerenpfad Trail Strobl to Bad Goisern
~ 21 km, 8 hrs, difference in altitudeá895 m / â977 m
Along the Strobler Weißenbach river to Kammersbach hut and from the Chorinsky Klause along the Goiserer Weißenbach river to Bad Goisern

6th day: Bad Goisern – Eastern Lake Shore Hiking Trail – Obertraun - Hallstatt ~19 km, 5 h, altitude difference á 127 m / â102 m
From Bad Goisern in the direction of Lake Hallstättersee and along the eastern shore - with magnificent views of Hallstatt and the Dachstein Glacier - to Obertraun and further on to Hallstatt. Short cut: ferry from Hallstatt train station to Hallstatt market. Saving about 8km. Ferry has to be paid on the spot. Explore this historical village.

7th day: Hallstatt – Bad Aussee ~ 17 km, 5-6 hrs, difference altitude á 414 m / â 277 m.
After following the lake shore to Obertraun you enter the romantic Koppental valley. A themed trail leads along the Traun River through the valley to Bad Aussee

8th day: Bad Aussee – Bad Ischl ~ 25 km, 8 hrs, difference altitude á 517 m / â 703 m
Hike to Altaussee and ascent to the Blaa-Alm mountain pasture through the Rettenbach valley back to Bad Ischl. If you depart on the 8th day you can pick up your luggage at the Salzkammergut Touristik GmbH Service Centre. Otherwise luggage waits for you in the hotel if you have booked additional nights in the Salzkammergut region.

Accommodation:
Twin-bedded rooms in Austrian resorts are normally one large base with two mattresses/duvets. These are also known as 'Austrian Twins' and are regarded as two beds. Separate twin beds are rare and cannot be guaranteed as available. Location of the accommodation are mainly close to the trails.
Information for arrivals by car:
The parking place does not always situate next to the accommodation but on a public parking place. (Possible costs have to be paid on spot)
Dogs: Dogs are allowed in the accommodations on request, often for a small fee. Extra costs have to be paid on spot. Austrian law orders that dogs must wear a leash or a muzzle!
Due to environmental reasons we recommend to arrive and depart by public transportation.
